Nearly 90% of brain development occurs in the first five years of life, therefore it is important for children to have access to preschool at least a year before school.

Play is another way in which children learn. Play Groups and Babies into Books programs are a great way to give your child a head start in their education.

When your child is ready to start school you may choose between:

• Government schools NSW Department of Education
• Private & Independent Schools - usually have a religious affiliation and are controlled by a schoolboard.
