In November 2023, Camden Council adopted the Camden Council Children and Families Strategy 2023-2027. The strategy was developed by researching the current social trends of the Camden Local Government Area (LGA) and conducting thorough community consultation with families, parents, carers, children and key stakeholders.
The Camden Children and Families Strategy 2023-2027 is a strategic framework to improve the childhood experience of every child living in the Camden area. The Strategy endevours to support children to receive a safe, healthy and happy start to life, while connecting and supporting families.
The Camden Local Government Area (LGA) has one of the highest proportions of children in NSW with 24,944 children aged between 0 and 11 years, representing 20.8% of the total Camden Local Government Area population (ABS, 2021). Camden Council is committed to investing in children and families, ensuring community projects, services and supports are available and accessible.
